Reese Scripture, a Senior Internal Revenue Agent in the Employee Plans division of the Tax Exempt/ Governmental Entity section of the Internal Revenue Service, began working with the IRS in 2005.

As Employee Plans Team Audit (large case) agent and the Great Lakes 403(b) Coordinator, she specializes in auditing the plans of large organization’s ranging from governmental and tax-exempt entities along with large corporations. She instructs and presents on a variety of employee plan topics, and has assisted with authoring sections of internal guidance and continuing education materials, in addition to acting as a subject matter expert for 403(b) and 457 plan issues. She is based in Detroit and covers the Great Lakes region of ND, SD, MN, IA, WI, NE, KY, IN, MI and IL.

In addition to her accounting degree, she has a graduate degree in Nonprofit Organizations from Case Western University and a Master’s Certificate in Taxation from Golden Gate University. As an adjunct faculty member of the University of Phoenix for seven years, she teaches a graduate class in Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting.
